Yorkshire Buses is a locally owned and run business based in Wakefield that operates across West, South, and North Yorkshire.

Our aim is to develop a successful bus company that is different to traditional big group operations – we care about serving the local communities of West Yorkshire, offering friendly, frequent, and cost-effective ways to travel by bus!

Yorkshire Buses Service 9 Changes

Line 116 Changes From 19th July 2025

This service will be taken over by Yorkshire Buses and will have a revised and enhanced timetable. It will operate hourly Monday to Saturday daytime and every two hours on Sundays. All journeys will operate the full route between Leeds and Wakefield via The White Rose Shopping Centre.

These enhancements will be funded by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority Bus Service Improvement Plan.

All METRO TICKETS ACCEPTED. 

We will also be selling our own range of tickets on board our services such as ADULT and STUDENT weekly and monthly tickets; These can be used on any of our services.
